Video Marketing is a free lead generation strategy that has exploded on the market within the past 3 years. Video hosting websites such as YouTube, Vimeo, Viddler, and too many to name have become a platform for online marketers to get their videos out to the world and brand themselves within their niche. This is the time to take advantage of this incredible leverage point to make money with your videos and increase brand exposure.

Here are a few video marketing tips you will need to create a huge following and get more free traffic to your website:

1. Basic Setup: This is all you need to get started:

1. A Computer
2. A webcam, camcorder, or Flipcam (any one of these will work)
3. Internet Access
4. Basic video editing software i.e. Camtasia, or Windows Movie Maker.
5. Go to YouTube.com and create an account.

2. Give an incredible amount of valuable content! One of the biggest mistakes online marketers make when it comes to video marketing is they start selling their product or business opportunity right away in their videos. Their videos are all about selling but very little giving is involved in their video marketing. What you want to do is just give valuable content away for free. In the network marketing niche the 3 biggest challenges network marketers face are: 1) Need more leads, 2) Want to get rid of rejection, and 3) Need more cash flow for their business.

When creating videos I would talk about solutions, tips and strategies that are focused on solving any one of these three challenges network marketers face on a daily basis. There is so much information out there on solving these 3 challenges that you could make a video everyday for an entire year and still not cover every solution to these challenges.

3. Be authentic, heart-centered and have fun! When meeting someone in person within the first 3-7 seconds you will know if you like that person or not. Same goes for video marketing. You have about 3-7 seconds to capture your prospect’s attention in the beginning of your video. The easiest way to do this is to loosen up and have fun with your videos. Make sure you have plenty of energy before shooting a video. Go do some pushups, run around the block or do any type of exercise to get your blood flowing and get more oxygen to your muscles. This will make a world of a difference in your energy which people will notice in your videos.

If you are a funny person, hey be funny. Most importantly be your real self, but your best self. Have fun, have energy and have enthusiasm. Obviously you should be passionate about your content, so show it. Everything you do should come form the heart. If you speak from the heart you are going to build a HUGE following from your videos. People will feel like they have a relationship with you and want to find out more about you. Now you’ll start to create a fan base.

Quick tip: If you are someone who is shy and not comfortable in front of the camera, you can always do screen capture videos on your computer. You can create a power point slide show with your content and you can use images as well.

Implement these tips and you will start to get more subscribers to your YouTube channel and other video sites, get more FREE traffic to your website, and convert the traffic into leads. Your leads will be quality leads because they are opting in to get more content from YOU. Again when creating videos, come from the heart, have fun, and give value that is going to help people.
