Not too long ago myself and a good friend of mine were sitting at a restaurant talking about business stuff, old times and our journey in life. I was telling him about this past decade and how much of a roller coaster it had been and the life education I was so fortunate enough to attain over the past 10 years. I told him that this past decade was the best 10 years of my life (2000-2010) and that I finally found myself. Now the next 10 years are going to be the greatest 10 years ever.
So my friend (let’s just call him Jon) told me that I should create a blog and share myself with the world. I always thought about creating a blog but after he suggested the idea I knew the universe was telling me to HURRY UP.
And here we are. Welcome to my offical blog: Hameed.TV!
The reason why I put this blog together is to share my journey and my story with you. I feel in today’s day and age everyone’s very good at sharing information, but very few share themselves. I feel the world has become more disconnected than ever and the few that are fearless and wiling to share themselves will be the ones that lead people…and create wealth.
You see I stumbled into network marketing back in 2001. I was a 22 year old kid who thought he was cool and thought he knew everything, but didn’t know a damn thing about life. I was a guy who barely had any life experience and I had the lottery mentality. I always wanted to get rich, but it never dawned upon me that in order for me (or anyone) to become massively successful I had to be willing to ADD VALUE to people’s lives. I had to learn how to connect and understand people.
At the time I was living in the Bay Area, Ca. I had decided to expand my network marketing business with my friends and move across the country eventually settling in the New York/New Jersey area. This is where I believe I was reborn. I spent 7 years away from my home in California, trying to build my business using old school marketing techniques such as chasing my warm market, meeting strangers on the streets of Manhattan, NY, etc etc. I believed so much in these “old school” marketing methods that it never dawned me that the world had evolved. The market had completely changed. This is was not the 1990′s anymore.
I didn’t even pay attention to the change that was taking place in our world. The internet had changed human behavior. The way we communicate, the way we express ourselves; most of this is now taking place in arenas such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and many more social media outlets. Even the inception of Google totally took the encyclopedias of the book shelves of millions of homes across the world. The internet has changed the game.
I didn’t realize that you can use these sites to grow your business from the comfort of your home. But sometimes in life tragedy must occur in order for some of us to wake up and PAY ATTENTION. It’s sad to say but in some cases like mine’s it is very true.
In 2007 I had run out of money. Just to back track a little, when I was 21 years old I was a computer engineer for a major airport. I made good money and did some investing in the stock market and made even more money. So I had quite a bit of money saved up and I lived off this money and my tiny network marketing checks for 6 years up until 2007. I had ran out. I had this blind dream that I was going to make it big time in this industry by just “going through the numbers” and “talking to everyone within 3 feet”.
Well Like I said earlier tragedy had struck in my life. In July of 2007 I got a phone from my cousin back home in California. He called me at 6am my time to let me know that our grandfather, the man who helped raise me, had passed away in my parents home in California. I wanted to fly back to see his body but I couldn’t because I did not have enough money to buy a plane ticket to fly home for the funeral.
What was even worse was that I had to lie to my family and tell them that I had events to go and that my business was growing (even though it wasn’t). I lied to avoid telling them the truth that I had failed in my business and I did not have enough money to fly back. I had too much pride to be be honest about my failure and that pride cost me everything. It even cost me my reputation with my extended family.
I looked like a pretty terrible person in their eyes. Of course my parents were super supportive but the rest of the family was not too happy about me not being there. At that point in my life I was very upset with myself, and I felt like I was in hell. I’m sure there are many people that have gone through way worse but for me this was bad enough to force me to change and WAKE UP.
The point of this story is to pay attention and make the necessary changes in your business and life so you won’t find yourself in a similar situation. You can’t blame anyone or any company for why you are where you are in your network marketing business. It all starts with you. I take full responsibility for me running out of money and not having a business that at least earned me enough income to have enough money to fly back for my grandfather’s funeral. It was my responsibility to PAY ATTENTION. To make adjustments to my life and my business so I can execute the correct actions that will bring me optimal results. I was flat out lazy.
Even though I miss my grandfather tremendously, in a way this was a blessing in disguise. This tragedy forced me to wake up, take a step back, and looked at my life and my business. I started to pay attention and see how the world was operating in our modern age.
I then decided that in order for my business to grow, I would have to explore and learn this phenomenon called the “Internet”.
I went online, did my research on how to generate highly targeted leads for my networking business, and bought ever course imaginable on the subjects of online lead generation, Google advertising also known as Pay Per Click marketing, social media marketing, direct response marketing, and so on.
My life has completely changed now because of my new path as an online marketer and internet marketing coach. I have now moved back to sunny California and I am building my business from the comfort of my home. Don’t get me wrong I love New York and it will always be my second home, but nothing beats working from the comfort of your home and seeing palm trees out your window.
Now I have created this blog to share with you internet marketing insight that I have been fortunate enough to learn and personally be mentored by some of the top 7 and even 8 figure money earners in the online marketing industry. I am also going to help guide you towards conquering your own fears. The question is why is it important for us to overcome our internal fears and create inner freedom. Well this is why: There is no way you or I can lead another human being to attain freedom and success within their lives if we do not overcome our own fears and obstacles to obtain freedom, success, abundance, and prosperity in our own lives.
In order for you to become successful in this industry( whether it be online network marketing or any home based business) you must develop the ability to lead people and be able to connect with your prospect. That’s when you will watch your income rise to new heights unimaginable. It’s all about connecting with people: thinking, feeling and being your prospect. Developing the ability to shut yourself down and put yourself in your prospect’s mind. REMEMBER THAT!
So I challenge you took look within you and find the strength that has always been there, to create CHANGE in your life. With CHANGE come infinite possibilities and infinite opportunities.
